About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja is a state-of-the-art 500-bed specialty hospital offering world-class comprehensive diagnostics and advanced medical and surgical services in partnership with King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Registrar Urologist to provide exceptional patient-centred urological care, undertake advanced specialist training, and drive clinical excellence in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with elective and emergency urological conditions across outpatient, inpatient, theatre, and emergency settings.
- Perform or assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cystoscopy, ureteric stenting, prostate biopsy, and endoscopic surgeries under supervision.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, comply with hospital infection prevention standards, and actively participate in clinical audits and quality improvement.
- Contribute to departmental teaching, case presentations, grand rounds, and the supervision of junior medical staff and medical students.
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of Part I or Membership examination in Surgery (NPMCN, WACS, or equivalent).
- Current enrollment in an accredited Urology residency training programme with full MDCN registration and a valid practising licence.
- Minimum of four years of postgraduate surgical training with significant hands-on experience in urology.
