About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Senior Radiographer (CONHESS 09) to join our esteemed medical imaging team. In this role, you will provide exceptional diagnostic radiography services within our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations and procedures as prescribed by medical practitioners.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging sessions, strictly adhering to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain and operate sophisticated medical imaging equipment, reporting any technical faults promptly.
- Accurately process, manage, and archive patient images and records using digital hospital information systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior radiographers, interns, and students on clinical placement.
- Participate in departmental research, continuous professional development programs, and quality assurance audits.
- A good honours degree in Radiography not below Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized institution.
- Valid evidence of current registration and practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Successful completion of the mandatory post-internship training and possession of the NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Minimum of relevant professional experience demonstrating advanced competence in diagnostic imaging.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a high level of professional integrity.
