About the Role
Collection Developments is a forward-thinking real estate investment and management firm dedicated to creating exceptional properties that deliver lasting commercial and social value. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in maximizing risk-adjusted returns and setting new standards for residential, commercial, and cultural spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and maintain comprehensive project cost plans from initial estimates through to final account settlement.
- Prepare and agree monthly interim valuations with client representatives, ensuring timely payment applications.
- Coordinate with the Commercial Manager to prepare subcontract tender packages, evaluate bids, and issue appointment recommendations.
- Manage bills of quantities, accurately measuring all variations against agreed schedules of rates or fair market values.
- Prepare, evaluate, and agree monthly subcontractor interim payments and maintain an up-to-date variation register.
- Generate reliable cost-to-complete forecasts and cash flow projections for review by the Commercial Manager.
- Manage, mentor, and supervise the Site Quantity Surveyor to ensure high performance across project sites.
- Support the Commercial Manager throughout the final account negotiation and settlement process.
- Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction field.
- Professional membership with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) or RICS.
- Minimum of 12 years of proven quantity surveying experience, specifically on major residential or mixed-use construction projects in Nigeria.
- Exceptional measurement, valuation, and commercial acumen with deep knowledge of construction costs and Lagos market rates.
