As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Moniepoint, you will play a pivotal role in our product development lifecycle, ensuring our software solutions run seamlessly, meet rigorous quality standards, and deliver exceptional value to our clients across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with product managers and software developers to understand product requirements, design specifications, and testability.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, robust test automation frameworks, and detailed test plans.
- Author thorough functional, integration, and non-functional test cases, coordinating reviews with stakeholders to identify gaps and complex scenarios.
- Execute test suites, publish detailed test reports, and track quality metrics such as defect density and test coverage.
- Design mocks and stubs for isolated component testing while owning all aspects of testing, test script development, and configuration management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality assurance, ensuring performance, security, and seamless CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering within fast-paced technology environments.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript with a heavy focus on test automation.
- Extensive experience testing APIs, microservices, mobile native applications, and complex web platforms.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, pub-sub technologies, Linux/Unix environments, and cloud infrastructure like GCP and Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness) and modern tools including Jira, Postman, Playwright, Selenium, and RestAssured.
