About the Role
Paystack is transforming online commerce across Africa by building the critical financial infrastructure that powers seamless digital transactions. We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Manager to own payment processing in Lagos, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will lead the strategy and execution for our payment channels, banking integrations, and processing stack to drive exceptional transaction success rates and system reliability at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Own the product strategy and roadmap for payment processing, channels, partner rails, and system reliability.
- Expand and optimize payment methods including cards, bank transfers, and direct debit across African markets.
- Manage strategic product relationships with banks, card schemes, and processors to enhance connectivity and performance.
- Drive improvements in transaction success rates, authorization performance, latency, and throughput.
- Define and track processing metrics, utilizing transaction data to identify friction points and prioritize roadmap initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, and commercial teams to support new market expansion.
- 6+ years of product management experience shipping complex, technical, high-scale transactional products.
- Proven track record working with external partners such as banks, financial processors, or card schemes.
- Strong analytical capability to diagnose processing issues and prioritize based on transaction data.
- High technical fluency with a deep understanding of system performance, resilience, and reliability trade-offs.
- Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills.
