About the Role
Drinks.ng is a leading player in the Nigerian beverage distribution sector, and we are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Senior Procurement Officer to oversee indirect spend and governance-controlled categories. In this critical role, you will champion procurement governance, enforce compliance with the Delegation of Authority, and ensure all purchasing activities are transparently sourced, competitively negotiated, and fully documented to audit standards. Key Responsibilities- Execute structured sourcing events including RFQs and RFPs, applying transparent scoring and objective supplier evaluations.
- Enforce strict compliance with budget approvals, Delegation of Authority, and rigorous procurement policies.
- Manage end-to-end vendor onboarding, KYC verification, and rigorous bank detail validation to maintain data integrity.
- Oversee procure-to-pay readiness, ensuring accounts payable receives complete, audit-ready documentation packs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and internal control teams to minimize spend leakage and refine procurement standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS is a distinct advantage.
- 6 to 8+ years of proven procurement experience with a strong focus on governance, preferably within FMCG, retail, or distribution.
- Advanced technical proficiency in sourcing, vendor master controls, and procure-to-pay systems.
