About the Role

Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, a prominent independent Nigerian energy firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning discipline for the ANOH Project. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all activities related to developing, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting comprehensive project schedules to ensure successful execution within approved timeframes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to a team of dedicated Discipline Planning Engineering professionals, fostering high performance and technical excellence.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 across all project phases including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Identify schedule risks, establish mitigation strategies, and formulate robust recovery plans for any project delays.
  • Track physical progress, productivity trends, and manage the project Management of Change (MoC) process to evaluate scope change impacts.
  • Generate comprehensive short-term, medium-term, and long-term look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and weekly/monthly progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Contribute actively to integrated commissioning and start-up activities to ensure safe and timely facility handovers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of project controls and planning experience within an operating or subcontractor oil and gas environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, alongside strong working knowledge of MS Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive experience in onshore construction, project management frameworks, and international oil and gas industry standards.
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-cultural, and multi-discipline teams in challenging project environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
