About the Role
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is seeking a dedicated Senior Officer for TB Delivery to provide vital technical partnership to national Tuberculosis programs in Nigeria and Ethiopia. In this pivotal role, you will engage government counterparts, Global Fund principal recipients, and key stakeholders to optimize program performance, accelerate diagnostic innovations, and strengthen health systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead country engagements and conduct structured assessments of TB program performance, identifying high-value technical and financial support opportunities.
- Support the introduction and scale-up of advanced screening technologies and molecular diagnostics, focusing on Pluslife implementation.
- Optimize the efficiency of domestic financing and Global Fund resources to maximize health impact and reduce operational duplication.
- Strengthen data systems, DHIS2 configurations, and integrated disease surveillance frameworks for improved decision-making.
- Advance TB-HIV service integration within primary health care settings through strategic stakeholder collaboration and technical guidance.
- Advanced degree (MSc, MPH, MD, or equivalent) in public health, epidemiology, or a related field with 8-10 years of sub-Saharan African experience.
- Demonstrated expertise working alongside national health ministries or TB programs in Nigeria and/or Ethiopia.
- Deep familiarity with Global Fund architecture, diagnostic screening tools, and health information management systems like DHIS2.
- Exceptional facilitation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments independently.
- Unrestricted work authorization in Nigeria or Ethiopia with the flexibility to travel up to 60 percent of the time.
