About the Role
St Dominic Catholic Hospital, a 64-bed faith-based healthcare institution, is recruiting a Senior Nursing Officer to join our dedicated healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse to make a meaningful impact on patient care while upholding Catholic and medical ethics alongside evidence-based medicine practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor clinical conditions, and develop appropriate nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and report significant clinical changes promptly
- Assist physicians during procedures, emergencies, and ward rounds
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records
- Educate patients and relatives on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior nurses, nurse assistants, and student nurses
- Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention and control protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for coordinated patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development
- Uphold patient confidentiality and professional ethics at all times
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with valid NMCN practicing license
- Minimum 10 years post-qualification clinical experience in a reputable hospital
- Registered Midwife (RM) qualification (advantageous)
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc) (advantageous)
- Current BLS certification; ALS/ACLS certification (advantageous)
- Experience in Accident & Emergency or General Ward (advantageous)
