About the Role

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist I to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering quality pharmaceutical care, dispensing medications, and ensuring the health and well-being of our vibrant student population and staff within a reputable academic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients regarding proper usage and potential side effects.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels of essential drugs and medical supplies while monitoring expiration dates.
  • Provide reliable drug information and clinical guidance to medical doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on campus.
  • Maintain strict compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines governing pharmacy practice in Nigeria.
  • Supervise junior pharmacy staff and assist in the daily administrative operations of the college health facility.
  • Educate patients on preventative healthcare, wellness programs, and the safe management of chronic conditions.
Qualifications
  • A good Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in Pharmacy or Pharmacology with a minimum of three years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Alternatively, a Master's Degree in a related field with one year of post-qualification cognate experience.
  • Must possess current, full professional registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
