About the Role
EIDU provides an open and comprehensive digital platform and on-the-ground support that ensures rapid, reliable, and cost-effective implementation to improve educational outcomes. We are currently seeking a Senior Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Manager to join our dynamic Research, Learning and AI team in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for EIDU's Nigeria programs, defining metrics and methodologies to track real-world impact across participating states.
- Lead end-to-end research and evaluation projects, from scoping and instrument design to fieldwork, analysis, and dissemination to government and donor partners.
- Manage government research engagement and oversee M&E activities in close collaboration with Nigerian state education ministries and agencies.
- Lead impact evaluations, including Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), to explore the effects of education interventions on literacy, numeracy, and transition outcomes.
- Build standard operating procedures, tools, and templates to standardize data collection, management, and reporting across growing programs.
- Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities and respond to RFPs to expand the department's influence with Nigerian and international funders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure research initiatives align with organizational strategies and are executed on schedule.
- Ph.D. or Advanced Degree in Social Sciences, Data Science, or Education, backed by 6+ years of M&E experience in international development, EdTech, or education programs.
- Proven track record of building and managing M&E frameworks from scratch, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
- Strong statistical and analytical expertise using tools such as STATA, R, or Python.
- At least 2 years of experience managing communications and M&E activities with Nigerian state or federal education bodies.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-oriented environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently across Nigeria.
