About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy offers first-class education from Preschool to Primary levels, utilizing innovative blended curricula. We are seeking a dedicated IT / AV Technician to manage our school technology systems, computer networks, and audio-visual equipment, ensuring a seamless digital learning experience and smooth daily school operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day IT support for school staff including hardware, software, printers, and interactive displays.
- Install, configure, and maintain school networks, WiFi access points, routers, switches, and LAN cables.
- Ensure reliable internet connectivity across the campus for uninterrupted teaching and administrative tasks.
- Manage user accounts, data backups, antivirus protection, and basic cybersecurity measures.
- Set up and operate audio-visual equipment for school events, assemblies, presentations, and parent meetings.
- Maintain IT and AV inventory, troubleshoot faults promptly, and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- ND, HND, or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Electronics, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience as an IT Technician, Support Specialist, or AV Technician in an educational or corporate environment.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or AV credentials are a strong advantage.
- Practical knowledge of Windows OS, networking principles, sound systems, projectors, and interactive boards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
