About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global origination footprint and deep understanding of market needs. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Miller to join our dynamic operations in Kwara, Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily milling operations to ensure optimal plant efficiency, consistent product quality, and cost-effective production while leading high-performing teams toward operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure efficient daily milling operations and maximize overall plant performance and output targets.
- Maintain superior product quality, extraction levels, and strict adherence to production plans.
- Troubleshoot milling issues, execute proactive maintenance, and optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure uncompromising compliance with safety, hygiene, GMP, QMS, FSMS, and 5S standards.
- Control operational costs, minimize process waste, and support cost-optimization initiatives.
- Lead, train, and manage milling teams to foster a culture of safety and high performance.
- Supervise vendor services and maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards across the plant premises.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Food Science.
- NABIMS certification or a Diploma in Milling from a recognized milling school is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in wheat milling and flour production.
- Demonstrated success in managing independent milling operations and leading multicultural teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of milling processes, equipment troubleshooting, and process optimization.
