We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor & Estimator with a robust pre-contract background to strengthen our commercial team and drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate MEP quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and BIM models to ensure precise budgeting.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates, pricing strategies, and detailed cost analyses for ongoing projects.
- Prepare competitive tender submissions, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and essential commercial documentation.
- Execute cost planning, budgeting, and effective value engineering during the critical pre-contract stages.
- Review complex tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements thoroughly.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, conducting rigorous commercial comparisons for optimal value.
- Coordinate seamlessly with engineering, procurement, and project management teams throughout the entire tender process.
- Maintain comprehensive estimation databases and actively support high-level commercial negotiations with esteemed clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience working directly with a reputable MEP contractor.
- Demonstrated expertise in pre-contract activities, tendering processes, and comprehensive bid management.
- Proven proficiency in MEP cost estimation, quantity surveying, and strategic cost planning within construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and required working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Revit BIM modeling tools is considered a distinct advantage.
