We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Medical Officer with a strong background in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our esteemed healthcare network. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting consultant-led services, and mentoring junior medical professionals within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent assessment, diagnosis, and comprehensive management for patients across obstetrics and gynaecology out-patient and in-patient settings.
  • Support consultant-led clinics, complex ward rounds, and specialized surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical officers and trainees to foster professional development and maintain high standards of care.
  • Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and ensure full compliance with internal policies and current MDCN registration guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating seamless patient care and supporting HMO and managed-care processes.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of housemanship/internship and NYSC, accompanied by a valid, current MDCN registration and practising licence.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, demonstrating significant progression and hands-on expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with a proven ability to manage emergency situations calmly.
  • Advantageous: Evidence of progress toward postgraduate fellowships (such as primary or part examinations of the NPMCN or WACS) and relevant life support certifications.
