We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Medical Officer specialising in dentistry to join our esteemed healthcare network. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical care across out-patient and in-patient settings, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes while mentoring junior medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide largely independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in dentistry, referring complex cases appropriately.
- Support consultant-led clinics, ward rounds, and specialised dental procedures.
- Supervise and support junior medical officers and trainees, contributing actively to their professional development.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient-safety activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in strict compliance with internal clinical policies and MDCN standards.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care and supporting HMO processes through evidence-based practice.
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS or BChD) or an equivalent registrable dental qualification from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, with demonstrable competence in independent patient management.
- Valid, current MDCN registration and practicing licence.
- Progress toward a postgraduate dental fellowship (e.g., National Postgraduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons) is an added advantage.
