About the Role
Contemporary Group Limited is a premier consortium of property development and engineering professionals in Nigeria, renowned for award-winning architectural designs and large-scale developments. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mechanical Resident Engineer to act as our on-site technical representative for high-profile projects in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous field inspections of mechanical installations including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection networks.
- Review and approve shop drawings, BIM models, and material submittals to ensure adherence to international standards.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and monitor corrective actions for substandard workmanship.
- Audit monthly progress valuations, evaluate variation orders, and defend the client against cost-inflations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies like LASBCA to secure necessary approvals and ensure compliance with the National Building Code.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Mandatory active registration with COREN and corporate membership with NSE or NIMechE.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in building services with a blended contractor and consultant background.
- Deep expertise in ASHRAE, NFPA, and British Standards.
