We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Materials Support Services Officer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide advanced materials management support for critical oil and gas operations, drilling projects, and maintenance activities. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of materials—from planning, procurement, and expediting to receipt, storage, preservation, and final distribution—ensuring that all resources are delivered at the right time, quantity, quality, and location.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process material requisitions, purchase orders, stock requirements, and detailed material specifications.
- Coordinate material forecasting, requirements planning, and inventory optimization to prevent potential shortages and supply risks.
- Track materials rigorously through manufacturing, inspection, shipment, receipt, and final deployment to onshore or offshore locations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date materials and inventory records utilizing SAP, ERP, and other specialized management systems.
- Manage surplus, obsolete, damaged, and slow-moving materials while supporting comprehensive inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Review vital documentation including Material Test Certificates, certificates of conformity, and packing lists.
- Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior materials personnel within the team.
- Ensure all materials management and logistics activities strictly comply with company procedures, project specifications, and Nigerian HSE standards.
- HND or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated professional experience in materials management within the Nigerian oil and gas, EPC, construction, refinery, or petrochemical sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of materials planning, procurement, expediting, warehousing, inventory control, and supply chain logistics.
- Proficiency in utilizing SAP MM, ERP systems, or other industry-standard materials-management software.
- Deep understanding of oil and gas equipment, spare parts, piping materials, mechanical equipment, and project consumables.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
