About the Role
Fountain University invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in computer science and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement of computer science programs.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their personal and professional development.
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committee work.
- Must hold a PhD degree in Computer Science or a closely related computational discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of post-PhD academic teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Lecturer I for at least two (2) years prior to this application.
- Must possess a robust academic portfolio comprising a minimum of fourteen (14) peer-reviewed publications in reputable outlets.
