About the Role
The Federal University Lafia is seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to join our esteemed Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to academic rigor, impactful research, and community development. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of veterinary professionals within a dynamic and supportive academic environment situated in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate student theses.
- Conduct high-quality, innovative research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committees.
- Contribute to community engagement and institutional advancement initiatives within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of ten (10) papers in reputable national and international journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous research activity and the capacity to successfully mentor and supervise postgraduate students.
