Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive lectures, seminars, and practical training in Speech and Language Therapy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement within the School of Basic Medical Sciences.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Engage in community service and clinical outreach initiatives related to speech and language pathology.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
  • A terminal PhD degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a closely related medical/health science discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of active, post-qualification tertiary teaching and research experience.
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure research grants and collaborate within multidisciplinary medical teams is an advantage.
