About the Role
Greensprings School is seeking a passionate and qualified Part-Time Mandarin Teacher to join our vibrant academic community at our state-of-the-art campus in Lekki Peninsula, Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering interactive Mandarin lessons that build students' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while introducing them to rich cultural traditions in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Mandarin lessons that develop students' linguistic proficiency.
- Utilize diverse teaching strategies, resources, and activities to create an interactive learning experience.
- Introduce students to Chinese culture, customs, and traditions to broaden their global perspective.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues and participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mandarin, Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
- Recognized teaching certification is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written proficiency in both Mandarin and English.
