About the Role

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Lecturer in Psychology to join our prestigious Faculty of Social Sciences. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Psychology.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental academic planning.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties.
  • Mentor junior academic staff and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications
  • Possess a PhD in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 quality peer-reviewed academic publications.
  • A First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure research grants and collaborate internationally is an advantage.
