About the Role
Christopher University, promoted by Translucent Management Services, bridges the gap between academia and industry by delivering high-level training tailored to public and private sector needs. We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Senior Lecturer to join the Department of Political Science within our School of Social Sciences at our Mowe, Ogun State campus. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the academic and professional futures of our students through rigorous teaching, mentorship, and cutting-edge research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Political Science to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Provide academic leadership in curriculum development, departmental projects, and course coordination.
- Mentor students and junior faculty members to foster a culture of academic excellence and professional integrity.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community engagement initiatives.
- Forge and maintain strong collaborative linkages between the university, industry stakeholders, and the public sector.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely related specialization from a recognized and accredited university.
- A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated track record of academic leadership, administrative competence, and student mentoring.
- Strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools, modern educational technology, and a strong bias for academic research.
