We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Lecturer in Physics to join the Department of Physical Sciences. In this role, you will shape the academic journey of undergraduate and postgraduate students while advancing cutting-edge research in physics, contributing to our vibrant scholarly community in Benin City, Edo State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate physics students.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, independent research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee duties.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to the overall growth and reputation of the Department of Physical Sciences.
- Engage in community service and university outreach programs related to science and technology advancement.
- Possession of a PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active, post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level.
- A strong publication record comprising a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants and collaborate on academic initiatives is highly desirable.
