About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced academic professional to fill the role of Senior Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within our esteemed School of Dentistry.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, clinical rotations, and postgraduate theses.
- Conduct high-impact research in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide specialized clinical services and patient care within the university teaching hospital framework.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee duties.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to the overall growth of the School of Dentistry.
- Possession of a PhD in a relevant field or an equivalent terminal professional fellowship qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed articles in reputable national and international journals.
- Must possess a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
