Wellspring University, a leading private institution founded on Christian principles in Benin City, Edo State, is seeking a qualified and dynamic Senior Lecturer to join our esteemed Faculty of Nursing Science. In this academic leadership role, you will shape the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering exceptional instruction, driving impactful research, and upholding our commitment to academic excellence and moral integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Medical-Surgical Nursing for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise postgraduate student research theses and dissertations at various levels.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide visionary academic leadership within the Department of Nursing Science and mentor junior faculty members.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees as assigned.
- Engage in community service initiatives and contribute to professional nursing bodies in Nigeria.
- Possess a PhD in Nursing Science with a specific specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Maintain a strong portfolio of peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Possess proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, supervision, and academic mentorship.
- Hold current professional registration and a valid practicing licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Display high proficiency in ICT-enabled teaching tools, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
