The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and accomplished academic to join our esteemed faculty as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, School of Basic Medical Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute actively to curriculum development, department meetings, and faculty committees.
- Mentor junior academic staff and participate in departmental quality assurance and accreditation processes.
- Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division, or a Second Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- A relevant PhD in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related biomedical discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable tertiary teaching and research experience.
- A robust academic portfolio comprising at least eight (8) peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of administrative competence and community service within an academic setting.
