About the Role

Vision University is a newly established, private, faith-based university located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria. Granted its provisional operating licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering academic excellence and high moral standards. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Lecturer in History and International Relations to shape the minds of the next generation of global leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in History and International Relations with engaging pedagogical approaches.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate research theses and academic projects.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, academic program review, and departmental administration.
  • Provide mentorship, academic counseling, and career guidance to students.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and community service initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Possess a good Ph.D. degree in History, International Relations, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Demonstrated track record of academic publications in reputable journals.
  • Evidence of administrative capability and ability to attract research grants is an added advantage.
  • Strong alignment with the faith-based ethos and values of Vision University.
