We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Senior Lecturer in Film and Multimedia to join our esteemed Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of creative media professionals by delivering cutting-edge instruction, driving innovative research, and fostering an environment of academic distinction.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Film and Multimedia studies using modern, technology-driven teaching methods.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Provide robust academic leadership through curriculum development, mentorship of junior faculty, and participation in departmental committees.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and foster industry partnerships that enhance the practical exposure of students.
- Must possess a PhD in Film, Multimedia, Mass Communication, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- A minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic leadership.
- Proficiency in ICT-enabled learning tools and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
