Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, a premier private conventional university in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to fill the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Data Science and Information Technology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Data Science, Information Technology, and Information Systems at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local, national, and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Mentor students and provide guidance on academic, professional, and moral development.
- Collaborate with industry partners and academic peers to enhance the department's profile and secure research grants.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Must be an established authority in the relevant field with a strong track record of scholarly publications.
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time teaching, research, and administrative experience at a recognized university.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
