About the Role
Rugby School Nigeria, the prestigious third international sister school located in the world-class Eko Atlantic development in Lagos, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Humanities Teacher. Opening our Sixth Form in September 2025 and expanding to a full senior day and boarding school in September 2026, we synthesize the renowned British education system with rich Nigerian and African culture to create a transformative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across History, Geography, and Religious Education.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all students, maintaining a safe, disciplined, and positive learning environment.
- Assess, record, and report on student development, utilizing performance data to set ambitious targets.
- Contribute actively to the school's co-curricular programme, including student trips and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, leadership, and parents to support holistic student well-being and academic success.
- A good honours degree in a relevant discipline from a leading university, alongside a PGDE or Master's degree.
- Demonstrable experience teaching Humanities (History, Geography, RE) with a track record of public examination success.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with strong IT proficiency.
