Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to academic excellence, high-quality research, and expanding access to university education in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and coursework to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Criminology and Security Studies.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee duties.
- Contribute to community engagement initiatives and institutional growth.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Criminology and Security Studies or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and academic research experience.
- Must have at least ten (10) scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous research output and the ability to effectively supervise postgraduate students.
