Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, student-centred lectures and facilitate interactive learning sessions in Criminology and Security Studies.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula to ensure alignment with contemporary industry standards and societal needs.
- Mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing academic guidance and career support.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in reputable journals, and actively participate in professional development activities.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues to support departmental goals and contribute to effective academic governance.
- Integrate technology-driven learning tools and techniques to enhance the overall student learning experience.
- A PhD in Criminology, Security Studies, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 5 years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Strong IT proficiency, including advanced capability with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems.
- Demonstrated passion for innovative teaching and a strong commitment to student-centred learning.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to forge strong links with industry stakeholders and engage in community development.
- Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
