About the Role
Vision University is a newly established, private, faith-based university located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria. Granted its provisional operating licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering world-class tertiary education. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Lecturer to join our Department of Computer Science and contribute to our thriving academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses in line with NUC benchmarks and university standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and secure research grants.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees.
- Engage in community service initiatives and foster industry partnerships.
- Possess a good Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong track record of academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, inspire, and mentor students effectively.
