The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is inviting qualified and passionate academics to apply for the position of Senior Lecturer in Chemical Pathology within the School of Basic Clinical Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Chemical Pathology to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish peer-reviewed papers in reputable national and international journals, and secure research grants.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Collaborate with teaching hospitals and medical institutions to enhance clinical training and diagnostic pathology standards.
- Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of the curriculum in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Possession of a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a relevant PhD.
- A PhD in Chemical Pathology or a closely related medical discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- A robust publication record with a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed journal articles in reputable academic outlets.
