We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Lecturer in Agricultural Extension to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will shape the next generation of agricultural leaders by combining rigorous academic instruction with practical industry engagement and modern educational technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Agricultural Extension to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Design and update curriculum content to reflect current trends, industry needs, and technological advancements in agriculture.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and field placements.
- Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and actively contribute to the university's academic profile.
- Engage with industry stakeholders, local farmers, and communities to ensure course relevance and drive societal impact.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic governance, and institutional committees.
- Mentor students and promote a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Possession of a PhD in Agricultural Extension or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student-centred, technology-driven learning tools.
- Strong IT proficiency, including the ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications and e-learning platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Evidence of active participation in professional development activities and continuous scholarly improvement.
- Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
