About the Role

We are currently looking for a talented and driven Senior Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building cutting-edge enterprise applications, optimizing microservices architectures, and driving technical excellence across our product and client environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure Java applications and services.
- Implement and optimize microservices architectures, ensuring robust service communication and resilience.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following industry best practices and modern development workflows.
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs seamlessly into existing enterprise infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform rigorous code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and contribute to high-level architectural decisions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while continuously improving system performance and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive professional experience in Java programming and building complex backend systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable microservices architectures.
- Solid working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, alongside containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor engineers and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
