About the Role
Kuda Bank is seeking an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to drive the development and enhancement of our native iOS mobile application. You will leverage your technical expertise to design, build, and optimize applications that empower millions of users across Africa and the global African diaspora to bank smarter, save more, and enjoy banking without ridiculous charges.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop robust iOS applications using Swift and modern development frameworks
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness across all iOS platforms
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt
- Maintain high code quality standards through organization, testing, and automation practices
- Implement and optimize offline storage, threading, and memory management solutions
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience, preferably in fast-paced startups or scale-ups
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Advanced proficiency with Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and Cocoa Touch frameworks
- Strong experience with iOS frameworks including Core Data and Core Animation
- Proven expertise with RESTful APIs, cloud messaging, and push notifications
- Solid understanding of Apple's design principles and Human Interface Guidelines
- Experience with performance profiling tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices and data persistence techniques
