We are currently seeking a meticulous and analytical Senior Internal Control Officer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance with established policies, and enhancing the overall operational and financial efficiency of our manufacturing plant in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal control systems across all company operations and departments.
- Conduct regular operational, financial, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to corporate standards.
- Identify process weaknesses, operational loopholes, and financial risks, providing actionable corrective recommendations.
- Perform periodic audits of production cycles, inventory movements, stores, procurement, and sales transactions.
- Investigate operational discrepancies, inventory losses, irregularities, and suspected control breaches.
- Prepare comprehensive internal control and audit reports for executive management.
- Track audit findings and ensure timely implementation of agreed corrective measures.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of cognate experience in internal control, internal audit, or risk management.
- Prior practical experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically the plastic or steel industry, is a strong advantage.
- Deep understanding of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies, and risk assessment techniques.
- Exceptional analytical, investigative, and professional report-writing abilities.
- Uncompromised integrity, sharp attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA will be an added advantage.
