About the Role
Husk Power Systems is a global leader in distributed utilities, dedicated to providing 24/7 reliable, affordable, and 100% renewable energy to rural communities and businesses. We are currently looking for a strategic and experienced professional to join our team in Abuja, Nigeria. This versatile role bridges high-level HR operations, compliance, payroll administration, and strategic talent partnering across Nigeria and the broader West African region.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee accurate and timely monthly payroll processing, statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF), and regulatory remittances.
- Manage end-to-end HR administration, employee lifecycle documentation, contract renewals, and HRIS data integrity.
- Ensure strict compliance with local labor laws, internal controls, and governance frameworks across multi-location operations.
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategies aligned with regional business objectives.
- Partner closely with the Country Director and Senior Leadership Team to advise on policy shifts, risk management, and people operations.
- Coordinate performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and crisis management frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced certification is a strong plus.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, Administration, or Payroll management.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required to support operations across West Africa.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian employment laws, statutory requirements, and socio-economic landscapes.
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll systems, HRIS, stakeholder management, and confidential data handling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership capabilities with a willingness to travel to operational sites.
