About the Role
Nutrition International is a leading global not-for-profit organization dedicated to eliminating malnutrition and hidden hunger worldwide. Operating across Africa and Asia, we design and implement sustainable health solutions backed by technical experts and passionate advocates. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria to drive financial excellence and resource optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare weekly payment batches, maintain accurate bank books, and deliver timely mid-month, month-end, and year-end financial reports.
- Perform comprehensive monthly bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and General Ledger reconciliations using NetSuite.
- Process operational payment requests, travel authorizations, and staff expense reports in strict adherence to organizational policies.
- Support country office personnel in navigating financial systems, including the Contracts Lifecycle Management system and NetSuite ERP.
- Assist the Finance & Administration Manager in executing annual statutory, donor, and internal audits.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with local service providers to guarantee compliance with Nigerian labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, or a related financial discipline.
- Recognized professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years gained within an international NGO environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial software systems, with direct experience in NetSuite representing a distinct advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically high-level Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
