About the Role

Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic finance team and support our impactful public health initiatives funded by international donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the comprehensive management of financial transactions, general ledger accuracy, and timely reporting for the project.
  • Process payments, staff retirements, and operational reimbursements strictly in line with organizational policies and donor guidelines.
  • Support rigorous budget monitoring, variance analysis, and the preparation of accurate periodic financial reports.
  • Support the timely reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and swift resolution of financial discrepancies.
  • Deliver against approved project milestone plans and quarterly performance targets, integrating financial oversight across health service platforms.
  • Support statutory compliance requirements, including accurate and timely tax remittances and pension deductions.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is a distinct advantage.
  • At least six (6) years of progressive professional experience in financial management, with verifiable experience working on USG-funded or international donor-funded projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of donor financial compliance requirements, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of modern accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
