About the Role
Fairsure Payment Limited is a leading payment and financial technology service provider in Africa, dedicated to delivering secure, simple, and seamless payment solutions. We are currently expanding our dynamic finance team and looking for a talented Accountant / Finance Manager to join our Lagos-based headquarters. In this critical role, you will play a major part in maintaining our financial health, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting our rapid growth across the African fintech landscape. You will work alongside a versatile, technologically inclined team of professionals committed to excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and management accounts in a timely manner.
- Conduct comprehensive bank and financial reconciliations to maintain absolute data integrity.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support company objectives.
- Ensure strict compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and internal financial controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders to streamline financial workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial experience, preferably within the fintech, financial services, or regulated sectors.
- Professional accounting qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is strictly required, or candidates at the final stage with only one paper remaining.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian financial regulations, tax systems, and accounting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in modern accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
