About the Role
ZAP Mobility, a pioneer in sustainable transportation and a subsidiary of Townfive Investments (Nigeria) Ltd, is looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior EV Mechanic to join our innovative team in Ikoyi, Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in accelerating Nigeria's transition from traditional internal combustion engine vehicles to eco-friendly electric mobility by maintaining our cutting-edge fleet and ensuring optimal vehicle performance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine fleet maintenance, comprehensive mechanical troubleshooting, and preventive care.
- Diagnose complex vehicle faults efficiently using both manual methods and advanced digital software and diagnostic tools.
- Repair and replace faulty vehicle parts and mechanical components to the highest industry standards.
- Install and fit new vehicle accessories and specialized electric vehicle hardware.
- Prepare accurate cost and time estimates for all mechanical and electrical work performed.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date vehicle service records for fleet management tracking.
- Conduct thorough test drives to verify repairs and perform rigorous safety checks on all vehicles prior to deployment.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in auto repair and vehicle diagnostics.
- At least 3 years of specialized experience and deep knowledge of electronics, electric vehicles (EVs), or modern vehicle systems.
- Possession of a full, valid Nigerian driver's license.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
