About the Role
Scruples Resources, a premier consultancy and human resource development firm in Nigeria, is seeking a talented Senior Drilling Engineer to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will champion operational excellence by applying advanced engineering methods and innovative technologies to optimize drilling performance across our diverse portfolio of oil and gas assets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sound drilling engineering methods and procedures to resolve complex drilling challenges.
- Execute specialized assignments and technical studies focusing on drilling penetration rate optimization and the integration of new drilling technologies.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for a wide range of complex wells, including extended reach (ERD) horizontal wells, HPHT gas wells, and unconventional formations.
- Deliver expert technical assistance and actionable advice to operating divisions facing intricate drilling operational problems.
- Ensure all drilling operations conform strictly to overall project objectives, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a strong preference for Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, establishing recognized authority and seniority within the field.
- Demonstrated capability in handling complex well operations such as HPHT and extended reach drilling.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills suited for cross-functional collaboration.
