About the Role
Ocean Marine Solutions Limited is a strategically positioned organization operating in the marine industry to provide solutions to high-risk security concerns in Nigerian waters. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Port Engineer to join our dynamic team and ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and safety of our marine fleet and operational equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate routine and emergency maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking of marine vessels and equipment.
- Ensure all engineering operations comply with international maritime standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage workshop operations, ensuring efficient utilization of tools, materials, and repair methods.
- Diagnose mechanical and technical faults promptly to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality marine spare parts and maintain inventory levels.
- Maintain comprehensive logs of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair costs.
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Possession of a Certificate of Class I NCV or Class 2 Unlimited is mandatory.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies will be a distinct added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant workshop and maritime hands-on experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern tools, materials, and methods used in marine equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
