In this vital role, you will contribute to the maintenance, development, and operational excellence of our state-of-the-art academic and healthcare-focused facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute skilled technical, mechanical, or construction craftwork across university facilities.
- Inspect infrastructure, equipment, and campus assets to identify maintenance needs and execute timely repairs.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and institutional guidelines during all project executions.
- Mentor, guide, and coordinate junior technicians and workshop staff to ensure high productivity and craftsmanship quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of tools, materials, and equipment required for daily maintenance and specialized projects.
- Possession of relevant trade test certificates, professional certifications, or appropriate academic qualifications in a related field.
- Demonstrated extensive practical experience working as a senior craftsman within an institutional or corporate setting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, high integrity, and proven competence in handling technical tools and machinery.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse university staff and departments.
