About the Role
Join Interswitch as a Senior Core Banking Software Engineer and take a pivotal role in architecting and maintaining cutting-edge Temenos Transact (T24) solutions that power Nigeria's financial ecosystem. You will design, develop, and customise robust core banking applications while providing technical leadership to engineering teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and customise Temenos Transact (T24) applications aligned with functional specifications and project timelines
- Design and implement integrations between Temenos and internal/external systems using OFS, APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and middleware technologies
- Provide production support, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes to ensure platform stability
- Configure Temenos modules, workflows, and business rules in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements
- Mentor junior engineers through coaching, code reviews, and technical knowledge sharing
- Identify automation opportunities and drive engineering efficiency improvements
- Conduct technical research on emerging technologies and Temenos platform capabilities
- Prepare technical documentation, status reports, and implementation updates for leadership
- Ensure compliance with security standards, coding best practices, and change management processes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' enterprise software engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on Temenos Transact (T24) development in banking/financial services
- Proficiency in InfoBasic, TAFJ/TAFC, and Temenos development frameworks
- Experience with Java, .NET, JavaScript, or related enterprise technologies
- Strong knowledge of integration technologies and APIs
- Proven leadership experience coordinating technical teams
- Temenos technical certification preferred
