About the Role
eHealth Systems Africa is looking for a talented and strategic Senior Coordinator, UI/UX Design to join our dynamic Software Engineering Department in Kano, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end design of innovative digital health platforms that strengthen healthcare systems, support public health initiatives, and improve patient outcomes across Africa. You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to creating user-centric technology solutions for NGOs, hospitals, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of user experience and interface design across web and mobile platforms.
- Translate complex user needs and product objectives into wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and detailed design specifications using Figma.
- Maintain, evolve, and scale a robust design system aligned with brand guidelines and global accessibility standards.
- Integrate usability and accessibility principles into every stage of the product lifecycle from concept to post-launch deployment.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, quality assurance teams, and marketers to shape seamless user journeys.
- Conduct user research and usability testing, synthesizing behavioral data and feedback to drive continuous product improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 to 6 years of professional UI/UX or Product Design experience, showcasing a strong portfolio of shipped digital products.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and experience with AI-assisted design and research tools.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and frontend development constraints.
- Recognized certifications such as CPACC, IAAP, or UX Design Certification are highly advantageous.
